Meditech Report Writer(RW) is a very powerful tool for a
hospital's many demands. It allows a programmer to quickly
collect and sort data to create reports rich in information.
With all its abilities for handling data, the appearance of
these reports leaves much to be desired. While most software
has accelerated into the 21st century with color and style, RW's
mien is a throw back to the 60's. To over come this
obstacle, hospitals have found it necessary to resort to 3rd
party software to fulfill their needs.
Now with Report Writer Printer Graphics EXtensions (RWPGX), a
programmer can accomplish full-color, reports with rich graphics
and powerful data plotting tools!
RWPGX is a suite of printer graphics extensions that can be
rooted in MIS to unleash the hidden power of RW. By storing data
in preset slashes and making simple calls to the RWPGX modules
you can produce reports with color logos, pie charts, spread
sheets and much more! RWPGX also has modules for direct export
of active XML files right onto your desktop. The possibilities
are only limited by you.
Now the RWPGX development team has decided to share this
suite of modules with everyone. The software is covered by the
GNU General
Public License. This will allow you to
download RWPGX from the
forum, use,
modify and freely distribute your modifications. We are
doing this to not only empower other hospital's IT staff, but
to build a community of users and developers.
